In my encore, I paint the unassuming people from less mainstream cultures that we have in our country. I respectfully tell their stories for art exhibits that I create. On my website, I call it “Art That Gives.”
As a kid in a small rural town, I would read National Geographic and dream of meeting and painting people from the unusual cultures throughout the world. Especially people that had less. Over my 50+ years of painting, I have used my paintings to raise considerable money for charities that help the less fortunate in our country.
What would I like the world to know about the contributions elders can make? Fortunately we have the ability to adapt to our limitations and continue to problem solve.
