Cathi Watson

Schaumburg, IL

I was raised in an immigrant family environment. My parents were among the many who made their way to America from Europe in the early 1900’s. I saw those hard-working, overworked men and women struggle to survive to keep their families together. I didn’t know it then, but that was the beginning of my fascination with aging.

One thing that’s fresh in my mind, most of the men and women were in their thirties and looked fifty. Their concern was the welfare of the family. I knew then, there had to be a way to grow old without looking old.

Mark Twain said…”Age is a matter of the mind. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” The danger of aging is that most people accept where they are and stop visioning where they want to go.

I inspire and spread my message on blog talk internet radio, reaching listeners locally, nationally and reaching listeners in any country in the world. €œ”LIVE! with Cathi”€ show topics are eclectic, maybe controversial but never boring.

My mission now is to inspire by example! We’re living longer but not better. The quality of life eludes many…Why? Because many/most won’t invest in themselves!

I was honored to receive the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition Community Leadership Award, presented to 47 recipients across the country for making sports, physical activity, fitness and nutrition related programs available in their communities. I’m a sassy stair climber for over 35 years and at a 2014 event “”The Fight for Air Climb” benefiting the American Lung Association, I climbed 50 flights in 9 minutes-9 seconds. 1,700 climbers all ages and gender. I may have been the oldest, but not the slowest.

Yes, youth is a great time but we “€œDivas of the World”€ bring to the marketplace a plethora of experience and dependability.
