Alexandreena Dixon left dance behind because she wanted to help people, especially those on the other side of the law. After a 38-year career with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, she still “saw too many black teens behind bars or pushing a stroller.” She wanted to share her inspiration for a better life.
