We’ve changed our name from Encore.org to CoGenerate! Join us at cogenerate.org to bridge generational divides and co-create the future.

On October 24, Anne Kirwan joined Encore.org as Managing Director of the EFN, the Encore Fellowships Network.

Anne comes to Encore and EFN from nearly a decade at Upwardly Global, an award-winning organization that eliminates employment barriers for skilled immigrants and refugees, and integrates this population into the professional US workforce. She joins us with particular insight and on-the-ground experience connecting often- unrecognized and under-utilized sources of talent with opportunities where they can bring significant value.

Most recently, Anne was Upwardly Global’s Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships for the Western Region; she also served as the Managing Director and Director of Employer Partnerships for the Bay Area. Before her experience with Upwardly Global, she worked in the corporate sector for leading technology companies, in a variety of sales and marketing roles in Ireland, her home, and in the US.

Anne is passionate about advancing Encore’s mission to dispel ageism in the workforce by pairing high-impact corporate talent with social-purpose organizations that need their expertise. As the director of  the national EFN program, Anne will cultivate and work with a wide range of external stakeholders, including corporate sponsors, national nonprofits, and our growing network of program operators, to build EFN into the premier national program bringing encore talent to the social sector. She builds on the great groundwork laid by Mike Mowery, who has agreed to stay on for Anne’s first two weeks to help orient and guide her.

Please join me in welcoming Anne and thanking Mike for his years of service in building EFN to where it is today.
