Our Commitment to the Privacy of Applicants and Participants in The Encore Fellowships Network
What Information We Collect
If you apply to be an Encore Fellow or to host an Encore Fellow in your organization, you may provide Encore.org or authorized program operators of The Encore Fellowships Network with “personally identifiable” information, including contact information (such as your name, email address, physical address and phone number) and information related to being matched in a fellowship (such as employment history, personal or organizational profiles and suitability criteria). Then, if you are matched in a fellowship, you may provide information related to this participation to Encore.org or to authorized program operators of The Encore Fellowships Network.
How We Use the Information
In order to review and process the applications we receive, we may share the information you provide with authorized program operators of The Encore Fellowships Network. Some applications are subsequently shared with individuals and organizations that are part of the matching process. When you submit your application, you authorize Encore.org and our authorized partners to share your application with these parties for placement purposes, and you grant us permission to publicize aggregate, anonymous group data taken from submitted applications and subsequent surveys. Organizations involved in the fellowship matching process may also use the information to contact references or conduct a background check.
How We Commit to Respect and Protect Your Data
We will never sell or otherwise share your data with third parties for direct marketing purposes. We also exercise rigorous precautions to keep your data secure while it is in our possession. We encourage, but cannot guarantee, strict adherence to these privacy policies on the part of all participants in The Encore Fellowships Network.
