Ann Grimes is currently the Director of the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia’s Journalism School. She previously co-directed the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Stanford University’s School of Engineering, where she also taught classes in media innovation and product design. Earlier, she served as Director of Stanford’s Graduate Program in Journalism and held senior editorial positions at The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. She has been a faculty fellow at Stanford’s Institute for Research in the Social Sciences, the Clayman Institute for Gender Research, and is the recipient of a John S. Knight Fellowship. She has written widely about technology, Silicon Valley, politics and gender.
