When Retirees Misjudge Their Desire for Leisure

It’s no secret that millions of Americans work hard, in extremely challenging and demanding jobs in their middle years. (Frankly, I’m one of them.) So it comes as no surprise that many feel desperate for a break when approaching traditional retirement age, when the appeal of kicking back and focusing on long-overdue R&R, is nearly close enough to touch. But is a “balloon payment” of decades of leisure right for everyone? I don’t think so.
