The nation’s inequities are in full view. We need bold thinkers and bridge builders to lead the way toward a better future.

If you are a current or aspiring thought leader wondering how to influence the national conversation, check out the Encore Public Voices Fellowship. This collaboration between The OpEd Project and Encore.org will accelerate the ideas and impact of 20 new and necessary thinkers working at the intersection of aging, longevity, intergenerational connection and social justice.

If you are a social innovator whose intergenerational program has the potential to bring hundreds, if not thousands, of older and younger people together for mutual benefit, check out the Gen2Gen Innovation Fellowship. This new initiative will accelerate the work of 12 practical visionaries with ambitious initiatives to bridge generational divides.

Both fellowships are open to all ages, begin in the fall, and will meet virtually until it’s safe to do otherwise. Got questions? Start here.

Which fellowship is the right one for me?

The Encore Public Voices Fellowship is right for you if . . . The Gen2Gen Innovation Fellowship is right for you if . . .
You’re passionate about expanding public dialogue on aging, longevity, intergenerational connection and social justice. You have an intergenerational program in place, in at least a pilot phase. (If your program is established, it’s in a significant period of growth.)
You have a unique, new and essential lens on these issues and want to contribute this knowledge to change history. You’re excited to have experienced innovators as coaches who will help you advance your program design, pitch to funders, and tell your story widely and well.
You’re prepared to write at least two op-eds and contribute your thought leadership in other high-impact forums over the course of the year-long fellowship. You’re prepared to up your game on leveraging the assets of adults 50+ to bridge generational divides.
