Dr. Pam Parke is regional director for the Encore Physician Program, which places retired physicians at community health centers that care for the underserved, where they treat patients and mentor younger physicians. This successful program, headed by Dr. Gerry Bourne in the San Francisco Bay Area, is supported by a grant from Northern California Kaiser Community Services, and has been extended to the South Bay.
Pam spent 19 years as staff dermatologist at Kaiser Hospital and Clinics at Santa Clara. She served as President of the Physician’s Professional Staff Association, and as Assistant Clinical Professor at Stanford Medical School adjunct clinical faculty.
With her passion for providing universal access for medical care, she has provided care for the uninsured as a staff physician and consultant for primary care physicians at RotaCare Bay Area Clinic for the underserved. She now enjoys recruiting her colleagues to work in community health centers as their “Second Act.”
Pam grew up in Southern California and graduated from Sarah Lawrence College and Northwestern Medical School.
