Aireen Navarro Khauv is the Operations Manager for Encore.org. She oversees systems organization, data integrity and development operations in addition to project management for the Generation to Generation campaign’s learning cohorts and other organizational initiatives. Previously, she managed the daily operations of The Purpose Prize (now a program of AARP), which has awarded over $5 million in prizes to social entrepreneurs over the age of 60 since 2006.
Aireen brings in over 18 years’ combined experience in international development research, tourism client relations and staff management, and small nonprofit operations to her current assignment. Prior to joining Encore.org in 2011, her love for adventure led her to specialize in travel consulting with Asia to Africa Safaris, right after transitioning from her research work with Devex. After witnessing health and education inequities first-hand in her journeys, Aireen is passionate about “paying it forward” through volunteer work. She co-facilitates mission trips to Cambodia and the Philippines to provide allied health care through the nonprofit Well-Balanced World.
Aireen is originally from the Philippines and has a Masters in International Studies with a focus on International Relations and a B.S. in Tourism from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
