Carisa White is the Director of Human Resources at Encore.org, where she manages core HR processes, including recruiting and onboarding, compensation, staff development and performance management, employee relations and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Prior to joining Encore.org, Ms. White was the Human Resources Manager at The Atlantic Philanthropies, where her role encompassed a heavy employee relations component in providing critical transition and outplacement support to exiting staff. She was centrally involved in helping senior management design and develop the tools, policies and processes required for the strategic workforce planning component of Atlantic’s limited life. Ms. White was also the Human Resources & Administration Manager at Trace Foundation, where she developed and implemented HR policies and programs that supported the organization’s mission and goals. Ms. White began her career in social services, managing a residential treatment program for children in Sonoma County, where she was responsible for overseeing and implementing individual behavioral programs for clients, supervising the treatment team and managing program operations.
Ms. White holds a B.A. in Sociology from Sonoma State University and an M.S. in Human Resources Management and Development from New York University.
