Aireen Navarro Khauv is the project coordinator of Encore.org’s Generation to Generation campaign, which aims to engage 1 million adults over 50 to help young people thrive. Previously, she managed the daily operations of The Purpose Prize (now a program of AARP), which has awarded over $5 million in prizes to social entrepreneurs over the age of 60 since 2006. She brings in more than 16 years’ combined experience in international development research, travel-sector client relations and staff management, and small nonprofit operations to her current assignment.
Prior to joining Encore.org in 2011, her love for travel and adventure led her to specialize in travel consulting with Asia to Africa Safaris, right after transitioning from her research work with Devex. Aireen is passionate about “paying it forward,” through volunteer work, after witnessing health and education inequities first-hand during her journeys. She co-facilitates mission trips to Cambodia (and the Philippines, in the near future) to provide allied health care through the nonprofit Well-Balanced World.
Aireen has a Masters in International Studies with a focus on international Relations and a B.S. in Tourism from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
