Millions of individuals in the second half of life are pursuing “encore” work to make a difference in and beyond their communities.
Yet far too many lack a clear place to land. They’re “all dressed up with nowhere to go.” Clearly, new models are needed – both internal innovations, to leverage encore talent within organizations, and external innovations, to increase the engagement of encore talent for the greater good.
The Encore Fast Pitch showcases organizations that are closing the gap between the desire to pursue an encore and the available opportunities to do so. This year’s competition, held on February 11 in San Francisco during the Encore2016 conference, included two $5,000 prizes, awarded by a panel of expert judges, and via audience vote.
