NEW ON ENCORE.ORG: Encore Career Finder!
We hear you! Encore.org members tell us they’re ready for encore careers, but they’re having trouble finding them. We’ll continue to feature selected opportunities for those who want work that matters in the second half of life. Now, we’ve added fully searchable, up-to-date listings in a new Encore Career Finder.
The Encore Career Finder was created in partnership with Simply Hired, which lists thousands of openings in nonprofit, environmental, health care, education, social service and governmental organizations. (Simply Hired has more than 5 million listings in total, from all over the Web.)
It may be hard to find the perfect encore opportunity, but it’s easy to get started.
- Choose the field you’re interested in.
- Add keywords (such as “teacher” or “marketing”).
- Identify your city, state or zip code.
- Click on “Find Careers” for a list of openings tailored to your preferences.
You might need to fiddle a bit with your keywords to get the results you want.
We’re still refining the Encore Career Finder and welcome your suggestions. Let us know what you think by sending an email to info@encore.org.
