Medical/Legal Processes in Health Care
Posted December 15th, 2007 by Kathleen Clark
I’m working on my dissertation on the use of collaborative law in medical error. Collaborative law is a nonadversarial, respectful process in which all voices can be heard and healing can take place. The process (and similar dispute resolutin processes) require a tremendous shift in thinking, a cultural shift for both medical and legal practices, as well as other stakeholders (such as patients, risk managers and patient advocates)for this healing process to take hold.
Anyone who might be interested in this process or in creating change in general in the medical malpractice process, at whatever step in the process (legal, medical, insurance, etc.), I’d love to dialogue with you.
