Aspiranet is one of California’s largest social service agencies, with family support programs in 40 rural, urban and suburban locations. A leading innovator in the encore movement, Aspiranet has a long history of building an intentionally intergenerational workforce, testing encore ideas, being an early adopter of encore-focused programs and bringing thought leadership to the field of engaging encore talent.

Boomerang Giving (National)

Boomerang Giving is a national movement of Baby Boomers who dare to imagine the impact we can make as a generation if Boomers with the means to reinvest some or all of our senior discount savings back into our communities through charities we each choose ourselves.

Business Consultants for Non-Profits (BCNP) is a nonprofit serving metro-Detroit’s nonprofit community through the volunteer consulting of business professionals, both retired and active. Coming of Age is a Philadelphia-based national initiative that helps people aged 50+ to explore their futures, promotes connection and contribution among people 50+ and builds stronger nonprofits and communities.

 

Community Experience Partnership (National)

Launched in 2006 as a national initiative of The Atlantic Philanthropies, the Community Experience Partnership (CEP) worked collaboratively with nine community foundations across the country to research, test, evaluate and document new strategies for increasing older adults’ involvement in communities and social-impact issues such as early childhood education and homelessness.

Conscious Aging Alliance (Multiple U.S. cities)

The Conscious Aging Alliance is a network of 12 organizations, with a wide variety of approaches, sharing the common purpose of supporting the emotional and spiritual growth of people as they age, based on the importance of ongoing personal growth in life’s later chapters as critical to personal fulfillment and effective contribution to society.

The Oasis Institute is a national nonprofit organization that promotes healthy aging through lifelong learning, active lifestyles and volunteer engagement roles such as Intergenerational Tutoring.

Operation ABLE (MI)

Operation Able provides marketresponsive programs to meet the employment needs of mature individuals along their career paths, to promote lifelong learning among individuals, businesses and government and to assist the employer community in developing a competent workforce.

Pace University Encore Transition Program (NYC)

The Pace Encore Transition Program helps adults in midlife and beyond transition from primary careers to an encore career. Consisting of three in-person workshops and an online component, the 12-hour evening program helps transitioners reprocess their skills for fulfilling encore careers in the nonprofit sector. Whether full- or part-time, project-based, paid or volunteer,  encore careers provide the opportunity for adults to use their talent and experience for the greater good in organizations addressing important social needs.
