Contribute to Encore.org and the
Encore Movement

Two examples of how encore talent is turning heads and transforming lives.

  • So many high school students need help navigating the complicated college application process. And so many people over 50 want to use their skills to help young people thrive. Our Generation to Generation campaign puts the two together. Last year, we put out a call to help one of our nonprofit partners Strive for College find “virtual mentors” for high school students struggling with college applications. Laura Gilbert answered that call – and, in just a few months, helped seven students make their way to brighter futures. (You too could become a Strive mentor; click here for details.)
  • Encore Fellows in Portland, Oregon are using their decades of professional experience in the corporate world to improve the operations of local nonprofits and help people of all ages lead better lives. Check out this NPR story for details.
