Nominations Open: The Encore Prize, Generation to Generation Challenge
04/14/2017 • By Jim Emerman
When I joined Encore.org in 2005 as the founding director of The Purpose Prize, I couldn’t have imagined how many extraordinary people over the age of 60 I would get to know who use their creativity to solve big problems. Now it’s time to encourage innovators of all ages to come up with new ways to bring the talents of older adults to benefit youth.
The Encore Prize: Generation to Generation Challenge will award $100,000 in cash prizes, coaching and a year of ongoing support for organizations or individuals.
The Encore Prize is open to organizations from all sectors (nonprofit, government, for-profit), as well as individual applicants of all ages and backgrounds, whose organizations are not yet incorporated, with a proven record of launching successful ventures.
During the webinar we will provide an overview of the prize, review eligibility and judging criteria, and explain the competition process and the two-month accelerator that will include all applicants.
We strongly recommend interested applicants attend the webinar to understand the time commitment required and key dates of the program.
